Sugar-Free And No Sugar Added Chocolate, Made In Singapore Since 2005
Making sugar-free chocolate that still tastes like chocolate is genuinely difficult, and we have been working at it since 2005. The range now runs from dark bars through to a mooncake, and it began on the doctor’s side of the partnership that started CHOCOELF.
Selected products carry the Healthier Choice Symbol.
Our chocolate is made in a facility that also handles milk and nuts, so any product may contain milk or nuts.
The no-sugar-added range

Dark cacao bars
55%, 70%, 90% and 100% cacao. The higher the percentage, the less sugar it carries naturally, and the 100% bar is pure cacao and nothing else.

Local flavours with no sugar added
Several of the local-flavour bars are made with no sugar added, including the Signature Kaya bar. This matters because it means someone cutting down does not have to give up the flavours they actually want.

Sugar-free confections and snacks
Crispy cashew and walnut kernels, a bundle of four sugar-free cookies, and the Booster Snacks range of coated nuts.

Sugar-free mooncake
Made for Mid-Autumn, and the product that most often surprises people, because a mooncake is not an obvious candidate for sugar reduction.
Chocolate Tart
Price range: $8.50 through $60.00
A doctor and a chocolatier
It is also why you will find our chocolate in selected hospital and polyclinic retail, which took years of work on the no-sugar-added range to earn.
Not every product in our catalogue is no sugar added, so do check the individual pack or product page. We print the claim per product rather than across the range, because that is the only honest way to do it.
Buying it as a gift
This is the most common reason people find this page. Someone in the family has been told to cut down, and you would still like to give them something good. Orders are delivered islandwide, or you are welcome to collect at our cafe in Chinatown, and our gift boxes and hampers can be built around the range.

What sugar-free and no sugar added mean on our packs
Our packs carry three labels, and they are not the same thing. No Sugar Added means no sugar goes in while we are making it. Sugar-Free means that too, and also that the product contains less than 0.5g of sugar per 100g, which is the stricter standard. Less Sugar means the sugar has been reduced rather than removed.
In practice, the sugar-free label sits on our dark cacao bars and our nut-based products, because those can meet the 0.5g threshold. Flavours built on fruit, kaya or coconut carry natural sugars of their own, so they are no sugar added rather than sugar-free. The full ingredient list and nutrition breakdown are printed on every retail pack, and if you are managing a health condition, do check with your doctor or dietitian on what is most suitable.
